The colour monster relates different colours to different feelings. He is a a jumble of mixed up colours, but with help, colour monster finds a way to separate the colours once again.

Each of his friends share their fond memories and as time passes a tree grows where Fox died, the more they remember Fox the larger it grows giving the friends a place to nest and shade to sleep.
